You tell us what you want
The first step is for us to meet so that you can explain exactly what you want for your new kitchen. At this initial meeting (usually with Designer/Director James Emerson) we’ll discuss the look and feel of your new kitchen as well as its functionality and design. Click to download our free Kitchen Design Guide to find out what to bear in mind when contemplating your new kitchen.
Before we meet, it’s always helpful if you can give us some idea of what you like in terms of interior design. This can range from a mood board, to a few magazine cuttings or even a piece of clothing or an ornament. If we know the style you like our designs will reflect you and your personality. It also helps if you can tell us how you live … are you someone who spends most of the day preparing and cooking food or is your kitchen a place you just visit in the evenings and at weekends? How many people do you regularly cook for? Do you want your kitchen to be a sociable space or do you prefer to cook alone? Answering these questions will really help with the kitchen design process.
The initial meeting is also an opportunity for us to make layout, appliance, lighting and storage suggestions to help you make the very best of the space available to you. We love playing around with layouts and design, and many of our clients have kitchens in configurations they never previously thought possible but which work brilliantly in their homes.
The design process
Everything we make is utterly bespoke so the kitchen design process is thorough and meticulous. Because you’ll be getting an entirely unique kitchen to your exact specifications we’ll provide you with a series of designs and impressions using the latest CAD 3D photo-real imaging so that you can ‘see’ and approve your contemporary kitchen before it’s made.
Our aim is to make exactly what you want so we start with a design proposal, which, once approved, is then fine-tuned until we have a design you’re completely happy with. This takes as long as it takes and we’ll work closely with you (and your interior designer and/or architect) to hone the design until it’s exactly what you want.
Production and installation
Our UK workshop (near Bath) is where your furniture is made and finished. We work with a team of highly trained craftsmen to build your designer kitchen, using a range of materials and state of the art production techniques. You’re welcome to visit our workshop to see your furniture being made at any time throughout the production process.
We employ a fabulous team of fitters who are experts in their field. Not only do our kitchen fitters do a brilliant job, they are also great guys who you’ll be happy to have in your home. Attention to detail and a determination to get it right means we won’t leave your home until your kitchen has been installed to perfection.
Oh, and it goes without saying that our guys also clear up properly after themselves and leave your kitchen spotlessly clean and ready for you to move into. After you’ve settled in, if there’s any fine tuning that needs to be done we’ll happily return and attend to this as soon as we can.
